Solskjaer explains decision to bench Paul Pogba vs RB Leipzig

The midfielder was named on the substitutes' bench following Mino Raiola's statement about his future.

When asked about the decision to bench Paul Pogba for the RB Leipzig clash, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer told BT Sport: "My decision tonight is obviously tactical. That's the only thing. We made a team decision way before this game because we decided on Scott [McTominay] and Nemanja [Matic] in that midfield before West Ham."

The Man United boss did not address the elephant in the room - which is, of course, Mino Raiola's statement about how Pogba's time at the club is over.

Nevertheless, top officials at United are believed to be frustrated by Raiola's comments, with Ole reportedly keen on selling Pogba when the time comes.
