Zidane clearly doesn't want Isco to leave: Ex-Madridista Valdano

Jorge Valdano believes that Zidane putting Isco on is a special sign, Zizou doesn't want to part ways with the Spaniard, he claims.

Otherwise, the Frenchman would've given game time to Martin Odegaard, he explains.

"The fact that Zidane subbed Isco on [against Granada] was a message to the player: 'I don’t want you to leave'," former Real Madrid player and manager Jorge Valdano has told Onda Cero.

"If it were not like that, then I would have put in Odegaard, who is the future," he explained.

Although many Real Madrid fans also expected Zidane to put Odegaard instead of Isco, the latter did quite well and even recorded an assist. This was his first goal contribution of the season.
