AS: Real Madrid ready to sell 6 players to fund Mbappe transfer this summer

The Whites are set to be 'convinced' in the Frenchman's desire to move to Spain.

Real Madrid is ready to sell Gareth Bale, Isco, Luka Jovic, Dani Ceballos, Brahim Diaz and Marcelo to raise funds for the signing of Kylian Mbappe, according to AS.

The 'Operation Mbappe' will be stepped up this summer, as per the Madrid-based outlet.

Paris Saint-Germain is set to ask up to €222m for their striker with a view of recouping the money they paid for Neymar in 2017.

The 22-year-old is out of contract in 2022 and thus PSG will have to lower their asking price for Mbappe this summer.

Even though AS claim that Madrid will be able to meet the Parisians' asking price for Kylian as well as his wage demands of €21m a season, such a scenario doesn't look like a realistic one, considering all of Madrid's losses caused by the Covid-19 crisis.

What's more, the sales of Bale, Isco, Jovic, Ceballos, Brahim and Marcelo are unlikely to earn the Whites even a half of Mbappe's total value.
