Barca residential candidate Freixa reveals Barcelona will be in danger is Laporta is elected

Toni Freixa doubts that Laporta is the favourite to win the presidential race. The presidential candidate notes that Joan left the club €450m in debt after his spell.

"Is Laporta the favourite to win? By no means. The members know who he is. He left a club with a debt of €450m with an annual turnover below that figure. If Laporta is elected, the club will be in real danger," presidential candidate Toni Freixa has told Marca.

It's believed that Joan Laporta and Victor Font are leading in the presidential race at Barcelona. The election is expected to take place on January 24.

Laporta served as the club's president between 2003 and 2010 and is responsible for building one of the best Barca in history. Under his guidance, Blaugrana won 12 trophies, including two Champions League titles.
