Barcelona block Firpo's move to Milan as Brazilian set to stay until summer

The 24-year-old is apparently going nowhere until the end of the season.

AC Milan have pulled out of the race to sign Junior Firpo in January, according to Sky Italia's Gianluca Di Marzio.

The deal has been 'completely blocked' after Barcelona's decision to wait until the summer to land Eric Garcia from Man City on a free transfer.

The Catalans don't want to part company with the Brazilian unless they bring another defender to Camp Nou.

Another top source Fabrizio Romano has also confirmed that there's 'nothing advanced between AC Milan and Barcelona for Junior Firpo' and the 24-year-old is now expected to finish the season with Barca.

The left-back has played only 461 minutes for the Blaugrana across all competitions in the first part of the 2020/21 campaign.
