Birthday boy Ilaix Moriba shares his Barcelona first-team experience

Ilaix says it's an honour for him to work with the first team, adding that he tries to learn from his senior teammates.

Even though he hopes to make his Camp Nou debut soon, the 18-year-old insists it's important to take things one day at a time.

He concludes with a wish to stay at Barca for many years.

"It’s an honour for me to work with the first team. Every time I am with them, it is very exciting and every day is new. I am like a kid in the playground. I am always trying to learn from them," Ilaix Moriba told Barcelona's official website on his 18th birthday this Tuesday.

On his potential debut, the starlet added: "I would like to make my debut at Camp Nou and to score, in front of the fans if that were possible. However, I am taking things one day at a time and I like to let things flow.

"With hard work, everything will be ok. I hope to be here for a long time and learn from the best."

Moriba has made it into the first-team squad but he hasn't made an appearance yet. His chance may come this Thursday against Cornella in the Copa del Rey.

Ilaix is a skilful and physical midfielder, capable of playing as a pivot or in a more advanced role. He is a bit similar to Paul Pogba.
