Busquets confirms Barca are in their worst situation since he has been here

Busquets says that the pandemic makes the situation Barca are in only worse.

He wanted the elections as soon as possible but believes that health is more important.

"Yes, it could be the worst situation since we've been here. It is a complicated situation, up to the limit. We have a pandemic and this still makes everything worse," Sergio Busquets said during his press conference ahead of the Athletic Bilbao clash.

"We all wanted the elections as soon as possible, but the first thing is the health of the people. [I hope] that they are held as soon as possible and that the club is coming out of all that."

Barcelona have been a club in crisis for over a year now. On top of that, they've been without a president since October, when Josep Maria Bartomeu left office.

The new presidential election was meant to take place on January 24 but they had to be postponed because of the epidemiological situation in Catalonia. March 7 is reportedly considered as the new date for the voting to take place.
