Cadena SER: Barcelona rule out signing of Lyon striker Memphis Depay in January

The Catalans reportedly have no plans to strengthen the squad this month.

Memphis Depay's signing has been ruled out by Barcelona, according to Cadena SER's Santi Ovalle.

The decision was taken during the meeting between the club's interim president Carles Tusquets and the three presidential candidates on Friday.

At the same meeting, it was reportedly agreed that the Catalans won't make a move for Man City centre-back Eric Garcia this month.

Both players are out of their respective contracts at the end of the season and are likely to join the Blaugrana on free transfers in the summer.
