Carles Tusquets offers new date for Barca election, set to meet presidential candidates today

The 3 candidates will discuss the rescheduling of the election and February 28 appears to be the likeliest date.

Barcelona presidential candidates will meet Carles Tusquets, the club's current interim president, tomorrow, January 20; RAC1 report. The meeting will start at 17:15 CET.

They will discuss the rescheduling of the election and February 28 could be the new date, as Tusquets has confirmed in an interview to CatRadio, saying they're working on moving the election 1 week forward.

On Tuesday, Catalonia government gave the green light for the election to take place on March 7, also allowing voting by post to ensure all the safety protocols.

As a reminder, January 24 was the original date for the election but the travel restrictions in the region make it impossible for all voters to take part so it was postponed.
