Depay pours cold water on potential move to Barca in January

The Dutchman is out of contract at the end of the season and Some reports have suggested that Lyon could sell him on the cheap in January.

Depay, however, is ready to finish the current campaign at the Groupama Stadium.

"I'm happy here. We have a great team, I really like the president, we'll see what happens," Memphis Depay told Canal+ after scoring a brace in Lyon's 3-2 win over Lens on Wednesday.

"The president and I know what happened in the last four seasons. Let's keep going and enjoy my presence. I might be here until the end of the season.

"Let's focus on Saturday's game, let's be happy, we have a great team."

Depay remains Ronald Koeman's favourite to replace Luis Suarez after Barcelona's failure to raise funds for the signing of the Netherlands international.

Some reports have suggested that Lyon would be ready to sell the 26-year-old for just €5m in January in order to avoid losing him for free in the summer as he's set to become a free agent at the end of the season.

The Catalans, however, look to be willing to wait until July to land Memphis.
