Diogo Dalot confirms he will return to Man United after AC Milan loan

The defender spent some great moments with the Red Devils and Diogo left United with a 'bittersweet feeling' to join Milan on loan.

However, he insists the lessons he learnt has helped him grow.

In an interview with Portuguese newspaper Record, Diogo Dalot was asked if he'd return to Manchester United to show the 'real Dalot' and he replied: "Of course.

"The feeling is a little deeper, more because I didn’t have the time I liked physically. I spent great moments at United. I played very important games for me and the team.

"I left with a bit of a bittersweet feeling for not being physically available for all those games I lost due to injury. But it is what it is.

"I wouldn’t change anything because what I learned was very important for my future and how I am now. I don’t regret it or look back with disappointment."

Dalot has played 109 minutes of Serie A football on loan for AC Milan this season, with the club opting to play him more in Europa League games. He has impressed so far and even has a goal to his name.

It will be interesting to see if he returns to the Red Devils in the future. At present, we have Aaron Wan-Bissaka at right-back and a little competition will spice things up.
