Font: I agreed Eric Garcia transfer, he'll play for free for 6 months

Victor Font claims he has negotiated with Man City over Eric Garcia's January move to Barcelona.

"My team have talked to Man City and Eric Garcia can come for €3m. He really wants to come to Barca and he's ready to not get paid for half a season," Font explained.

If Barca's interim board and the remaining two presidential candidates (Laporta, Freixa) accept the deal, the centre-back will sign for Barca already this week.

Earlier on, it was reported that the Catalans would only complete the signing in July.

The 20-year-old was part of La Masia between 2008 and 2017.
