Frank Lampard has refused to compare Timo Werner to Fernando Torres struggles at Chelsea.

Timo has had it hard in his first season in the Premier League and Lampard does not believe that it can be compared to Torres' struggles at Chelsea.

The manager's plan is to create a positive environment to get the best out of Werner.

"All players will experience it in their career. All eyes are on and it becomes magnified. I need to work with him on it", Frank Lampard said about Timo Werner's goalscoring drought ahead of the Leicester game.

"I'm not comparing him to anybody. Everybody is different, Torres had difficult times here but won the Champions League.

"All we need to do is create the best environment to get the best out of Timo. You must repeat, keep working and he needs to keep his head down and focus, I need to give him positivity."

Werner broke a 2-month-long goalscoring duck against Morecambe in the FA Cup a week ago but was left out of the starting XI against Fulham.

After coming on late in the game, the German missed a huge chance in the final moments to seal the game.
