Hazard opens up on potential early retirement because of injuries
The 30-year-old confesses he would have to stop playing earlier if the injuries pile up.
Hazard adds that he'll stay in football but not as a professional player.
"We will see if the body leaves me alone [after some injuries]," Eden Hazard told Belgian TV RTBF when asked on his potential retirement.
"If the injuries pile up, I won't make it to 35. We need to have fun. The older you get, the more you need to have fun, right? That's what I need. I'll always be in football, but I might not be a professional," he added.
Hazard has suffered 8 injuries since joining Real Madrid in 2019. So far the winger has managed 3 goals in 30 appearances.
In the same interview, Eden confessed he wishes on his 30th birthday that the injuries leave him alone.
