Inter Milan yet to pay Real Madrid first payment from Hakimi sell

The two clubs agreed to split the €40m transfer fee in instalments but Inter haven't paid the initial €10m yet.

Inter are currently in the financial crisis because of the coronavirus pandemic and haven't yet paid Real Madrid for Achraf Hakimi's transfer, Diario AS say.

The sides agreed to split the €40m transfer fee in instalments with the first €10m due to be paid by February 16.

However, the Nerazzurri are lacking funds to cover their current stars' wages and asked to postpone the payment until March 30, something that Los Blancos accepted.

Real Madrid haven't avoided the consequences of the pandemic either: rumour has it, they have to sell several players to afford any big-money move in summer.

As for Hakimi, the 22-year-old has scored 6 goals and 4 assists in 17 games this season.
