'It's a painful defeat that we didn't deserve': Jordi Alba speak on Barca super cup defeat

Alba reveals that Barcelona really wanted to win the Supercup.

Jordi says that a 'doubtful' foul late in the game ended up hurting the team who had the game under control up to that point.

"It’s a painful defeat that we didn’t deserve. The team really wanted to win the title," Jordi Alba said after the Supercup defeat against Athletic Bilbao.

"The foul against us in the 90th minute when we were 2-1 up? A doubtful foul ended up hurting us a lot because we didn't defend well.

"We had the game under control. It's a shame, the team fought until the end but we suffered during the first half. It's a tough defeat."

Barcelona missed out on the first trophy of the season after losing 3-2 to Bilbao. The Catalans haven't won the Supercup since 2018.
