John Obi Mikel revealed how he once felt like training with Hazard

Mikel said in 2019 that Hazard was an incredible talent, despite not being as good as Messi.

However, the Belgian did not like to train hard, Mikel revealed.

The former Chelsea man stated that Hazard would still always be man-of-the-match during games.

"Hazard has an incredible talent," John Obi Mikel told BeIn Sports in 2019.

"Maybe not as good as [Lionel] Messi, but he can do whatever he wants with the ball at his feet.

"He didn’t like to train hard. While we were working he was waiting for us to finish training just standing there.

"But on Sundays, he was always the man-of-the-match, it was unbelievable."

Eden Hazard, who turned 30 on Thursday, was one of Chelsea's best players in the past decade, scoring 110 goals and providing 92 assists in 352 games for the Blues.

Mikel himself is a legend at Chelsea, having spent 11 years at the club - 5 of which were with the Belgian winger.
