Koeman confirm his displeasure of playing on artificial pitch ahead of Spanish Cup

The Segunda B side will host Barca in the Spanish Cup tie on Thursday and Koeman believes that the Cornella stadium's artificial pitch will complicate things for the Catalans.

"It's nice to play against a Segunda B side at their ground, that seems perfect to me," Ronald Koeman told the pre-Cornella presser of the opposition's home advantage, as quoted by Sport.

"The only problem is the artificial pitch, which is not football for me. It depends on the state of the surface, the light and more things. We're not used to it.

"We know there are always surprises in the Copa. It's a complicated game because it's the match of the year for them. We have to approach it seriously and it will depend on the team's mentality."

Cornella will host Barcelona in the Spanish Cup tie on Thursday. The artificial surface of Segunda B side's stadium may indeed be a problem for the Blaugrana as Cornella eliminated Atletico Madrid from the competition in the previous round.
