Koeman confirms his reaction to Barca not signing Eric Garcia in January

Koeman wanted the club to sign Garcia in order to strengthen the backline.

Contrary to reports, the coach says he's fine as he understands the club's financial limitations.

The Dutchman is content with the squad he has.

"Not signing Eric Garcia? I've heard reports that I am unhappy, worried... I have to say that I'm fine, happy I know perfectly well the financial limitations of the club. If that is not possible, we will go ahead with what we have," Ronald Koeman said during the press conference ahead of the Supercup match against Athletic Bilbao.

Barcelona considered signing Garcia in January, with Manchester City reported ready to sell him for around €5m. Interim president Carles Tusquets discussed the possible move with the three presidential candidates, and it was decided to wait until summer and get the centre-back for free.
