Koeman has block departure of Barca players as Puig and Firpo set to remain

Ronald Koeman has put an end to Barcelona's activity on the market as the coach doesn't want to lose any more players in January, Diario Sport's reputable Lluis Miguelsanz claims.

Carles Alena is the only player to leave us in the winter market so far.

Despite previous reports, neither Junior Firpo nor Riqui Puig will leave on loan.

Matheus Fernandes, who isn't part of the Dutchman's plans, is the only player that can still be loaned out.

Koeman reckons that Barca have a tough calendar ahead and will need more players for rotations.

It's also reported that Firpo was close to joining AC Milan on loan until the end of the season but the move has been blocked.

Although Firpo and Puig aren't regular players, they might be useful in cup games, for example, with both of them playing from the start against Cornella.
