Koeman hit at his best Barcelona midfield trio

The coach says the team has improved with De Jong, Busquets and Pedri starting together.

He insists it's not a fixed midfield but the trio's consecutive starts suggest otherwise.

"The team has improved with Frenkie in an advanced role, Busquets as a pivot and Pedri. We also have players like Pjanic or Riqui, who can help us," Ronald Koeman said after the Elche win on Sunday, as quoted by Mundo Deportivo.

The coach insisted the midfield trio isn't fixed yet as there's competition for all places.

Yet it's getting clearer that the Pedri-Busquets-Frenkie midfield trio is going to be the chosen one. They started together in 6 out of the last 7 matches with the Copa del Rey clash against Cornella the only exception.
