Koeman speaks on Barca's record-breaking of 8 away matches streak
Barca has never played more than 4 away matches in a row. Koeman says that the schedule is 'crazy', although he is satisfied with the results.
He claims that the Catalans have proven they are a 'mentally strong' team.
"Eight games in a row away from home is crazy. One of the questions was about the month of January and the many away games. Excluding the final result against Athletic Bilbao and 1-1 against Real Sociedad, we have won the remaining games and we have proven to be a mentally strong team," Ronald Koeman said in the press conference ahead of the Elche clash.
The Copa del Rey match against Rayo Vallecano on January 27 is going to become the eight consecutive away match Blaugrana play this month.
Diario Sport claims that this is a record for Barcelona, as the Catalans have never before played more that four consecutive games away from home. The only home fixture for Barca this month is going to be the La Liga clash against Bilbao on January 31.
