Koeman tips Ilaix Moriba to have a 'great future' at Barcelona

The coach believes that it's important for players like Ilaix to train with the first team.

Koeman wants to show Moriba that he counts on him despite the age.

"It's important for the promising players to train with the first team as see that they have the level to compete for their sport. Ilaix Moriba has turned 18, the crucial thing is to give him the feeling that we count on him," Ronald Koeman said during the press conference ahead of the Rayo Vallecano clash, as quoted by Mundo Deportivo.

"There is a long way to go for him, but Ilaix is a player with a great future at the club."

Koeman has included the La Masia gem in the matchday squad for the Copa del Rey match against Rayo Vallecano. The 18-year-old made his senior debut in the previous round against Cornella.
