Manchester United boss Solskjaer name 3 players who impressed in Watford win

Man United beat the Championship side 1-0 in the FA Cup on Saturday. Solskjaer is happy with how Williams, Van de Beek and Greenwood played.

Speaking to MUTV about the Watford FA Cup tie, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said: "I thought Brandon Williams did well. He had a very good game. He has not played for a while and he was playing on the right-hand side.

"We want him to be an attacking full-back and it might be easier for him on the right side. I was very pleased with Brandon. He was one of the positives.

"We had Mason Greenwood [leading the front four] with the license to chop and change a little bit and find positions. Mason is naturally a floaty forward anyway. Sometimes when you are young, to stay up front is a challenge and he wanted to get a touch on the ball. He benefited from this game.

"I think Donny van de Beek showed again his qualities. He is very clean technically and makes good decisions. What a great little flick to play Juan through in the first half. He has that quality to open up tight games so definitely he will benefit from this game as well."

Despite the praise from the manager, neither Williams, Van de Beek nor Greenwood are expected to start in Manchester United's must-win clash away at Burnley in the Premier League on Tuesday.
