Napoli target short term loan offer for Chelsea left-back Emerson

Napoli are eyeing a loan deal for Chelsea left-back Emerson, according to The Telegraph.

The Italy international is considered to be a short-term fix before the Serie A club would go for one of their long-term targets.

A couple of months ago, Emerson revealed his desire to return to Italy, and Napoli are regularly linked with him, along with Inter Milan and Juventus.

The player's agent Fernando Garcia has admitted that there have been no official offers for Emerson, and it's not quite clear whether Chelsea will be ready to make a deal.

It's been claimed, however, that the Blues would rather part ways with Marcos Alonso who has not played a minute since September.

Emerson, meanwhile, has made 9 appearances in all competitions, establishing himself as Ben Chilwell's back-up.
