Pep Guardiola confirms Eric Garcia will leave Man city in the summer

The Manchester City coach says anything can happen before the end of the January transfer window.

He adds that Eric's potential move this winter depends on the other clubs, not City.

"We will see what happens at the end of the transfer window. I am pretty sure Eric is going to leave at the end of the season and now, in this transfer window, it will depend on the other clubs," Pep Guardiola said when asked on Eric Garcia's future, as quoted by Mundo Deportivo.

The 20-year-old is believed to be Barcelona's priority signing to strengthen the defence. However, the Catalan club are unlikely to sign him in January.

They'd prefer waiting until summer when the former La Masia prospect is available for free.

Eric Garcia hasn't been a regular player at Manchester City this season, making just 9 appearances. He averages 94.5% passing accuracy rate, 1 tackle, 1 interception and 1.7 clearances per game.
