PSG director Leonardo confirm they are still interested in Leo Messi

Leonardo says that 'big players like Messi' are always on PSG's list but now it's not the right time to speak about it.

The Brazilian corrects himself by adding that the Parisians have their 'chairs reserved' at the said table.

"Great players like Leo Messi will always be on Paris Saint-Germain's list. But of course, now is not the time to talk about it, nor dream about it. But we are sitting at a big table of those who are following his file closely," PSG director Leonardo has told France Football.

"In fact, no, we're not sitting yet, but our chairs are reserved just in case. Four months is like an eternity in football, especially in these troubled times.” the Brazilian added.

Messi's contract at Barcelona expires next summer, meaning that the Catalans could lose him for free. During his recent interview, the Argentine revealed that he won't be talking to any clubs before the end of the season.

There have been reports that Leo's future at Camp Nou heavily depends on who wins the upcoming presidential elections. However, Barca will be without a president for another month and a half as the elections have been postponed until March.
