Revealed: Messi and Araujo absent from pre-Sociedad training

Lionel Messi and Ronald Araujo didn't train with the rest of the Barcelona squad on Wednesday, Mundo Deportivo report.

Now, the pair are likely to miss Barca's Spanish Super Cup semifinal against Real Sociedad later today.

Araujo missed the Granada win over the weekend after suffering a thigh injury during the pre-match warm-up.

Messi, in turn, was subbed off in the same encounter due to muscle discomfort, as per reports.

Ronald Koeman, however, deemed both players fit to play after they completed Tuesday's session with the main group.

The club are yet to explain the duo's absence from the pre-Sociedad training.
