Setien's ex-assistant Sarabia confirm conflict with Barca stars

Eder Sarabia believes that all the rumours that he didn't get on well with the Barca squad will be dismissed now, as Gerard Pique has appointed him as the head coach of FC Andorra, the club he owns.

Yet Sarabia concedes there were tensions but it's part of the job.

"One thing is clear: if a person like Gerard [Pique], who was in that dressing room and is leading this project, has chosen me to lead the team, I think that dispels any rumours that might be out there," Quique Setien's former assistant Eder Sarabia said during his presentation as the new head coach of FC Andorra, the third-tier club owned by Pique.

"There are moments of tension, and we're not going to deny that there are arguments in the dressing room," Sarabia added.

"In Vigo, what happened happened, but they are things that aren't going anywhere, that are understood to be a part of the job, with the high demands, but there's no problem," Sarabia concluded, referring to the alleged conflict with Leo Messi happened in the 2-2 away draw at Celta in late June.

During the water break in that game, Messi apparently snubbed Sarabia twice, as these screenshots show.
