'We see it as a duel between me and Laporta': Victor Font reacts to recent poll from Mundo Deportivo

Font doesn't trust the recent poll from Mundo Deportivo showing Laporta as the clear favourite in the elections.

He assumes that only two pre-candidates will get enough signatures to enter the official race.

Font claims that some candidates are buying signatures.

Victor Font has commented on a recent poll from Mundo Deportivo showing that 52,3% of the respondents would vote for Joan Laporta in the upcoming presidential election.

"Those who understand demography say that with 200 club members, it is difficult to get clear results. The survey was conducted on December 19 and 20 and was just after the impact of Laporta's banner in Madrid. We see it is a duel between me and Laporta.

"Our data tells us that, due to the difficulty, there will be no more than 2 pre-candidates passing the signatures required. We know that signatures are offered in exchange for money. Rousaud has confirmed this."

The presidential election at Barcelona will take place on January 24.
