The French coach says the 30-year-old is always important when he plays.

He also praises the veteran defender for his professionalism - Nacho delivered a strong display even though he wasn't used for 6 games before the Celta win.

"It's not just now, he's very professional all the time and he's always important when he plays," Zinedine Zidane said on Nacho, as quoted by Marca.

The French coach added: "What he's done doesn't surprise me. I'm happy for him and for the team because these are three very important points."

Nacho was one of Madrid's best players in the 2-0 Celta win, deputizing for Sergio Ramos. Before that, the centre-back didn't play for 6 games.

The 30-year-old was leading the defence, managing 3 tackles, 2 interceptions and 4 clearances.
