Wijnaldum still 'not accepting' Liverpool's contract offer: Sky Sports

The talks between the midfielder and Liverpool have stalled due to his salary demands - it's unlikely that Barca could match them, though.

According to Sky Sports, Georiginio Wijnaldum hasn't accepted Liverpool's long-standing contract offer and the talks have slowed down and reached a 'stalemate'.

The 30-year-old midfielder wants a better deal as he hopes to earn around £200,000 a week.

Yet Wijnaldum still wants to stay at Anfield - something that Jurgen Klopp would also love.

Barcelona are very interested in signing the player as Ronald Koeman has confirmed several times. However, no official approach has been made yet.

Wijnaldum will be without a contract this July. But his reported salary demands would complicate any transfer to Barcelona due to their financial struggles.
