AC Milan interested in making Real Madrid forward Brahim Diaz deal permanent

AC Milan wants to turn Brahim Diaz's loan into a permanent deal at the end of the season, according to reports.

The Real Madrid forward has impressed bosses since joining the Serie A side in the summer and he has become an important part of the squad with 25 appearances in all competitions.

Goal report that Milan is keen to keep the 21-year-old beyond this season, despite not having an option-to-buy as part of his loan agreement.

Spain Under 21 international has scored one goal and made three assists but also boasts 17 completed dribbles.

Real wanted the youngster to gain first-team experience with the intention to keeping him at the club, given he only joined from Manchester City in January 2019.

However, the report claims the LaLiga side could be willing to accept an offer of around £26million due to the financial difficulties they have faced during the coronavirus pandemic.

Zinedine Zidane was unable to make a big signing in the summer and the club may need to sell before they can improve their squad next season.

Milan are said to have informed Brahim's family that they want to arrange a permanent transfer with the forward thought to be interested if he was offered the chance to move.

Real's stance could depend on whether Zidane is in charge at the end of the season.

Brahim, who is contracted at the Spanish champions until 2025, has previously claimed to have a good relationship with the Real boss, telling Movistar Plus in November last year: 'Zidane and I have a special and mutual affection.

'The relationship between he and I is very good. Now that I am in Milan, we have less contact, but from time to time I receive a message from him.'
