Alba optimistic on La Liga win after Elche

Barca are third in the table after beating Elche 3-0 on Wednesday.

League leaders Atletico are five points ahead and have a game in hand.

Alba believes that the La Liga trophy is still up for grabs despite a huge gap between the Catalans and Diego Simeone's men.

"We have always said: 'There’s a title race'," Jordi Alba said after Barcelona's 3-0 victory over Elche on Wednesday.

"We know that we are depending on ourselves from here to fight for the title till the end.

"We know that others will fail. Whoever fails the least, will win this La Liga."

Wednesday's win has sent the Catalans to third in the league table. Sevilla, against whom Barca will face off on Saturday, are two points adrift of the Blaugrana with a game in hand.

League leaders Atletico Madrid, meanwhile, are five points ahead of Barca and also have a game to spare.
