Barca B coach on managing first team: 'I work to be prepared if the club needs me'

Garcia Pimienta is close to leading Barca B to the promotion playoffs for the second straight season and the coach notes that managing the first team is a tough task.

Pimienta assures that he'll be there if needed.

"Being a coach of Barca's first team is very complicated. I work to be prepared in case the club needs me one day. Just as we train players, my obligation is to be trained and prepared in case one day it's my turn," Barcelona B boss Garcia Pimienta has told the media after his side smashed L'Hospitalet 6-0.

Garcia Pimienta has been part of Blaugrana's academy for the last 15 years. This season, he has led Barca B to 7 wins and 2 draws in 15 games.

By the way, Pimienta could've been appointed as the first-team coach after Ernesto Valverde was sacked; the Bartomeu board went for Quique Setien instead.
