Barcelona boss Koeman refuses to rule Araujo out for PSG first leg tie

Araujo suffered an ankle injury against Betis over the weekend.

Even though the centre-back is expected to miss next week's clash with PSG in the Champions League, Koeman isn't 'ruling anyone out at the moment'.

Dest, in turn, will miss Wednesday's Spanish Cup encounter with Sevilla due to right thigh discomfort.

The 20-year-old remains a doubt for La Liga match against Alaves on Saturday but is set to be available for the Parisians.

"Araujo against PSG? We aren't ruling anyone out at the moment," Ronald Koeman told a press conference on Tuesday.

"We have to see when he recovers from his injury and we do not set a date. We will take the freshest, those who are better to continue going game by game."

Araujo suffered an ankle injury in the Betis win over the weekend. As per reports, the Uruguayan's recovery is set to take around 3-4 weeks but he's ready to risk his health and feature in the Champions League last-16 round first leg against the Parisians on February 16.

Sergino Dest, meanwhile, will miss Wednesday's Spanish Cup semi-final first leg tie with Sevilla due to right thigh discomfort. The right-back, however, is set to feature against PSG, even though he remains doubtful for La Liga clash with Alaves on Saturday.

"Dest? He has trained, but he continues with discomfort," Koeman added.

"We have decided to leave him out and he will not return to the list until he's 100%. If he's not with us on Saturday, he will surely be there against PSG."
