Barcelona coach Koeman showers in-form Griezmann with praise: 'He's been very good lately'

Barca boss Koeman applauds Griezmann on his hard work, as the forward has recorded nine-goal contributions in January.

Koeman believes that forwards need a bit of luck to score, and Antoine missed that for a while.

"Antoine Griezmann has been good all season, and he's been working hard. 

The first thing a player has to do is work and help the team as much as possible, and Antoine, who is a forward, has been effective," Ronald Koeman has said in the press conference ahead of the Granada clash.

"There were moments where he could have scored in the past but didn't, these are things forwards go through. Sometimes it is difficult [to score] and other times the ball enters the net without any problem.

"Lately, he has been very good, he is helping the team and scoring, and it is important because we want to get the most out of any player."

In January, Griezmann recorded five goals and four assists across nine games. In total, the Frenchman has scored 10 goals and provided six assists in 28 matches for Barcelona this term.
