Barcelona players rating in frustrating Cadiz draw with Busquets 8, Lenglet 2

Barcelona unsuccessfully attempted to exorcise the ghosts of midweek against Cadiz, but the sweet tonic of three points was snatched from their grasp at the death in a game decided by two penalties.

It would have taken more than a routine domestic win to heal the wounds opened by Kylian Mbappe and co., but a damp draw will only serve to aggravate them.

Lionel Messi, though, continued his fine goalscoring form of late, drawing level with Luis Suarez on 16 LaLiga Santander goals with his penalty to open the scoring.

Sergio Busquets — 8

Against Cadiz, Busi proved that he can still be a valuable asset against teams that sit in deep blocks and don't press Barcelona too intensively. Sergio created several good opportunities for his teammates and recovered a lot of balls high on the pitch, stopping the rivals from running on the counter.

Leo Messi — 7.5

The captain scored our only goal of the match and was a constant threat in attack. However, Messi did miss a few big chances, and his long shots weren't as accurate as in the previous league match.

Pedri — 7

The youngster's creativity helped Barca create scoring chances, and his passing was as great as ever. Besides, Pedri was the one to win us the penalty.

Ousmane Dembele — 5

In terms of dribbling and passing, Dembouz was great, but he needs to improve his end product or he'll never achieve his full potential. Ousmane created several great chances for himself thanks to his fake shots and take-ons, but his shots were just amateurish.

Clement Lenglet — 2

Cadiz had two big chances against Barca, and both of them were results of individual mistakes from the Frenchman. He nearly set up Ruben Sobrino in the first half and went on to concede a stupid penalty in the second. Lenglet really needs to learn to stay focused for full 90 minutes.
