Barcelona players rating in Sevilla win with Dembele 8.5, Lenglet 7.5

Barcelona made a massive statement in the La Liga title race earlier today with a convincing 2-0 victory against top-four rivals Sevilla at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium.

The Catalan giants are only two points behind Atletico Madrid in the La Liga standings and will be intent on building a streak of victories in the coming weeks.

Below is the list of players who impressed us and those who played bad

Ousmane Dembele — 8.5

Dembouz would flourish in any counter-attacking team, and he proved it against Sevilla as Ronald Koeman went for a rather unusual set-up. Ousmane was a constant threat going forward and barely put a foot wrong, scoring himself and setting his teammates up on several occasions.

Leo Messi — 8.5

The Argentine assisted Barcelona's first goal of the night and went on to score the second after a brilliant run. Messi was less active than usual but that's okay considering that the Catalans adopted a more defensive approach this time.

Oscar Mingueza — 8

Oscar Mingueza is a centre-back, and he should be given the chance to prove himself in that position, not on the flank. The La Masia graduate was absolutely impressive against Sevilla and no one was able to get past him. Besides, he can be really useful in possession.

Clement Lenglet — 7.5

After a terrible week, Lenglet managed to pull his sh*t together and deliver a good performance on the big occasion. The Frenchman wasn't completely flawless, but he did also single-handedly stop a few dangerous attacks. Clement can definitely return home pleased with his output.

Ilaix Moriba — 7.5

The 18-year-old was a big surprise from Koeman, as many expected Riqui Puig to replace injured Pedri. However, with the little time he got, Ilaix showed that he absolutely deserved the chance he got, being useful on both ends of the pitch. And although his assist to Messi won't go down in the protocol, there's no denying that he played a huge role in our second goal.

Others: Ter Stegen — 7, Pique — 6.5, Dest — 7, De Jong — 7.5, Busquets —7.5, Pedri — 7, Alba — 6.5, Araujo — 6.5, Braithwaite — n/a, Umtiti — n/a.
