Carvajal back for Real Madrid squad and still remain Unbeaten with the team

Dani Carvajal's return for the match against Valencia on Sunday is a welcome boost for Real Madrid, especially as they have not been beaten this season with the Spanish right back in the side.

Carvajal's importance to Zinedine Zidane, then, cannot be understated, so he will be delighted to have him available again after a month out.

In fact, the 29-year-old is the only player in Real Madrid's squad who has not been beaten this season, and bear in mind that in 2020/21 Los Blancos have already lost more games than in the entirety of last season: eight.

Those eight defeats all had one thing in common: Carvajal's absence.

Indeed, across Europe's top five leagues, only six players who have played at least 900 minutes (Carvajal has played 917) remain unbeaten, and none of the others play in LaLiga Santander.

Those players yet to taste defeat are Ilkay Gundogan, John Stones, Oleksandr Zinchenko (Manchester City), Mehmet Zeki Celik and Luiz Araujo (Lille).

In nine seasons at Real Madrid, Carvajal has played 290 games, winning 195, drawing 58 and losing just 37
