Ilaix reacts to his La Liga debut: 'I'll save everything, the shirt, the boots

Moriba says he was nervous at first, especially becaues he had the likes of Messi and Griezmann as partners.

The youngster's goal now is to play at Camp Nou when the fans are back.

"I feel very happy because this is a stadium I have been coming to since I was little. But this time I came with more ambition and passion," Ilaix Moriba said after Barcelona's 5-1 win over Alaves.

"I'm very happy [with my La Liga debut]. I'll keep everything, the boots, the shirt, etc. I just need to come back here and play a game with the fans. In the beginning, I was a bit nervous because I was in this stadium with a lot of history and I would raise my head and see Leo Messi and Antoine Griezmann."

Ilaix made his La Liga debut against Alaves and went on to play for 65 minutes. The 18-year-old recorded an assist, setting up Francisco Trincao's first goal of the night, but also committed a goal-leading error. It was Moriba's second match for the seniors, having played in the cup game against Cornella.
