'I'm not confident he'll stay': Koeman speaks on Messi-Barca future

Ronald Koeman says he can't imagine Leo Messi wearing a jersey of another club and the Dutchman hopes that Leo will end up staying at Camp Nou.

Messi proves his worth every day in training sessions, Koeman notes.

"I'm not confident about that," Ronald Koeman has told The Athletic when asked whether Leo Messi is going to stay at Barcelona.

"I'm hopeful, yes, about this because he's still a great player and he's still winning matches for us, for the team.

"I'm enjoying being his coach, if you look at his qualities every day in the training sessions, it's incredible. Of course, he came as a young kid to Barcelona. And I still don't see Leo Messi in another shirt other than the Barca shirt," the Dutchman concluded.

Messi will be out of contract this summer. In the earlier interview, he made it clear he would decide on his future at the end of the season.
