Joan Laporta hails Dembele’s revival at Barcelona: ‘He is in spectacular form'

The Barca presidential candidate believes Dembele deserves special treatment at the club because he’s a special kind of player.

Laporta says Dembele is the kind of a player he’ll want to sign for Barca if he wins the election.

Speaking about Ousmane Dembele’s impressive recent form at Barcelona, Joan Laporta said: “I have always expressed myself in favour of Ousmane.

“I think he deserves a special kind of treatment because these are the kind of players who have to be taken care of. I really like to see Dembélé well.

“I think he has been settling down, is in spectacular form & is mentally strong as well. These are the kind of players I'll try to have at Barça for many years.”

Dembele has performed really well in the Champions League for Barca this season, scoring 3 goals and registering 2 assists in 4 games. Laporta is in the midst of an intense battle with Victor Font in the race to be the next Barcelona president and it seems he is very interested in promoting youngsters within the squad if he wins the elections.
