Koeman believes Barcelona can still win La Liga despite recent slump

Koeman believes that each team can drop points so the title race in La Liga is still open.

The coach says that Barca will also look to make a comeback in the cup vs Sevilla but doesn't mention the UCL.

The Dutchman claims that pulling of a comeback is easier when there are fans in the stands.

"I think we are still in the league fight. We are seeing that each team can drop points, each team is having difficulties. So it depends on the two games up ahead now which are very important for us to continue our title fight," Ronald Koeman has said in the press conference ahead of the Elche clash, as quoted by Barcablaugranes.

"We need to come back in the cup too but I'm really not a big fan of thinking that one game is more important than the other. Each match is vital. It's complicated we have to comeback against Sevilla at home without fans, with fans it's easier to make a comeback."

Barcelona's current situation in the three competitions is as follows:

La Liga: 4th place, 8 points behind league leaders Atletico Madrid;

Copa del Rey: lost first semi-final leg to Sevilla 2-0, return leg at Camp Nou on March 3;

Champions League: lost first round of 16 leg to PSG 4-1, return leg at Parc des Princes on March 10.

The Catalans are set to face Elche at home on Wednesday, February 24; kick-off is at 7:00 pm CET.
