Koeman challenges Barca to be 'almost perfect' in months to come after Elche

Barca lost to PSG and drew Cadiz before defeating Elche 3-0 on Wednesday.

Koeman is happy with his side returning to winning ways.

After all the points the Catalans have dropped at the beginning of the season, they can't afford to lose more in the remainder of the season, insists the Dutchman.

“We needed to win after the two results,” Ronald Koeman said after Barcelona's 3-0 win over Elche on Wednesday, as quoted by Goal.

“We played a great second half, we made the difference. In the first half, we should have done better.

"Surely, having won today, tomorrow will be different. It is normal if you leave two points against Cadiz when it was time to cut back with those at the top. You have to close this bad feeling with good games and good results."

Barcelona lost to Paris Saint-Germain and drew Cadiz before beating Fran Escriba's men. The Catalans will face Sevilla in La Liga on Saturday.

"It is important because we have lost many points at the beginning of the season, most of them at home," Koeman added on Barca's title chances this term.

"If we do not win more and more, we will have no chances. In the last 13 or 14 games, we have to be almost perfect. The problem has been at the beginning of the season."
