Koeman speaks on playing Dembele instead of Griezmann against Sevilla

Koeman says that Dembele started vs Sevilla over Griezmann because the former adds more depth for the team.

The coach decided to sub in Braithwaite and not Griezmann in the second half as the Dane is faster.

Following Barcelona's 2-0 away victory against Sevilla, Ronald Koeman was asked why Antoine Griezmann didn't play a single minute in the clash.

"We've decided to change the system to have depth in the team and that's why we put Ousmane Dembele at centre-forward. With his substitution, we needed someone faster than Antoine, and that's the reason why I brought Martin Braithwaite on."

Griezmann has now been left out of the starting XI for two consecutive La Liga matches, as he started on the bench against Elche on Wednesday. Antoine has played 35 matches for Barca this term, scoring 12 goals and providing 10 assists.
