Las Palmas president reveals Pedri's total transfer fee could reach €35m

As per reports, Las Palmas could get a total of €20m for the attacking midfielder at a maximum.

“Everyone thinks we sold Pedri for €5m, but we’ve made €10m so far and it could rise to €30m or €35m,” Las Palmas president Miguel Angel Ramirez said in an interview with Radio Marca earlier this week.

“It was the sale of a youth player who had not yet made his debut in Segunda, Segunda B or Tercera.”

In fact, Barcelona reached an agreement with Las Palmas to sign Pedri two weeks after the attacking midfielder made his senior debut in Segunda on August 18, 2018, aged 16.

The Spaniard had spent the 2019/20 in the Canaries before completing his move to Camp Nou last summer.

According to CatRadio's sources at Barca, however, Ramirez's statement on Pedri's total transfer fee is a bit exaggerated. As per the reputable Catalan outlet, the initial €5m fee could rise to €20m at a maximum.

Regardless of what the 18-year-old could cost, it would be fair to say that Barca's investment in Pedri has paid off well as he's become a key payer for Ronald Koeman's side this season.
