Liverpool have won just two of their last ten Premier League matches.

12 of the last 19 Merseyside Derbies have ended all square.

Liverpool are winless in their last five home league matches.

Everton are unbeaten away from home in seven Premier League fixtures.

Liverpool’s league troubles continue

Liverpool may have returned to winning ways in Budapest on Tuesday but they could find it difficult when they clash with arch rivals Everton on Saturday.

The reigning Premier League champions have won just two of their last ten games in the competition and their 3-1 loss at Leicester last weekend resigned them to a third consecutive defeat for the first time since 2014.

Toffees smell opportunity at Anfield

For Everton, this marks the perfect opportunity to end years of disappointment in the Merseyside Derby.

The Toffees haven’t beaten Liverpool since 2010 and they haven’t won at Anfield since 1999, but recent encounters haven’t been as one-sided as this record suggests.

In fact, Everton have only lost seven of the last 19 meetings between the two and given how well they’ve performed under Carlo Ancelotti this season, we could see them claim a point or more on Saturday.

Stalemate expected in Merseyside

Everton are unbeaten away from home in the Premier League since the start of November and Liverpool haven’t won a home league game since mid-December, losing each of their last three. All things considered, backing an Everton double chance looks fantastic value.

Despite Liverpool’s recent home defeats, we’re still expecting the spoils to be shared here. 12 of the last 19 Merseyside Derbies have ended all square and with Liverpool scoring more than once in only two of their last ten league games a 1-1 correct score prediction is our choice.

Liverpool injuries and team news

Fabinho is still a doubt for Jurgen Klopp’s side and could join Joel Matip, Naby Keita, Virgil van Dijk, Diogo Jota, Joe Gomez and James Milner on the sidelines, leaving Jordan Henderson to partner Ozan Kabak at the centre of defence.

Everton injuries and team news

Dominic Calvert-Lewin is a doubt but he could start up front for Everton here, pushing Richarlison back to the left. Yerry Mina is a doubt after coming off last time out though, with Allan also expected to miss out.
