Manchester United set date for cavani's future talk at Old Trafford

Cavani has impressed not just the club and the coach but the fans also with his performance after joining Manchester United on a free transfer this season.

Manchester United star Edinson Cavani would like to stay at Old Trafford instead of joining Boca Juniors in the summer transfer window, according to reports.

The Uruguayan is said to be upset at receiving a ban for using a term that could be interpreted as offensive in the UK in an Instagram post to a friend.

And ESPN say that the 33-year-old would like to stay at the Theatre of Dreams, despite Boca Juniors pressing hard to secure his signature.

Cavani’s future will be assessed by the club once he returns from a knee injury.

But Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, speaking recently, hinted that he was likely to stay put. “I can only say Edinson has done well,” said Solskjaer.

“I’ve been impressed by him, he’s really gelled in the group and we’ll sit down and speak with him in the near future to see his plans and our plans.

“It’s a good discussion to have. We always speak to the players and with his contract situation at the moment we’re very pleased with what he’s done.”
