Many Barca fan didn't like him: Diego Forlan reacts to Luis Suarez's exit

Forlan explains that the former Barca board needed an object of criticism last summer.

The Uruguayan explains that Suarez was 'the perfect target'.

Forlan also notes that the striker scored many goals for Barca last season.

"In his [Luis Suarez's] final days at Barca, they needed someone to hate and criticise. He was the perfect target because he argues and fights with other teams," Uruguay legend Diego Forlan has told La Liga.

"Many people, including Barca fans, don't like him. But he scored many goals last season," the former striker added.

Barcelona offloaded Luis Suarez to Atletico last summer for financial reasons, as the club explained previously.

The Uruguayan scored 21 goals and provided 11 assists in all competitions for Barca last season.
